Grammer 700 Series Armrest Guide: Compatibility, Installation & Part Numbers

Overview: Grammer 700 Series Armrests
The Grammer 700 series armrests are height and tilt adjustable armrests designed to fit most Grammer 700 series seats. They're one of the most frequently ordered replacement and add-on parts for Grammer seats — whether you're replacing a damaged arm, adding armrests to a seat that shipped without them, or upgrading an older seat.
Available as a pair, left arm only, or right arm only, so you only pay for what you need.
Compatibility: Which Grammer Seats Use 700 Series Armrests?
The Grammer 700 series armrests are compatible with the following seat models:
- Grammer MSG85/731 — Midback mechanical suspension
- Grammer MSG85/732 — Highback mechanical suspension
- Grammer MSG85/731S — Midback mechanical with 180° swivel (backhoes)
- Grammer MSG95/731 — Midback 24V air suspension
- Grammer MSG95/732 — Highback 24V air suspension
Not compatible with Grammer 500 series seats (MSG65/531 and MSG75/531). Those seats use the Grammer 500 Series Armrests instead — see below.
Part Numbers & Pricing
| Option | SKU | Price |

| Left Arm only | 2031 | $95.95 |
| Right Arm only | 2032 | $95.95 |
Note: Buying both arms individually (2 × $95.95 = $191.90) costs more than ordering the pair (SKU 2030, $169.91). If you need both arms, always order the pair.

Left vs. Right: How to Tell Which Arm You Need
Left and right are determined from the operator's seated position — the same convention used in automotive and equipment manufacturing.
- Left arm (SKU 2031) — The armrest on your left side when you are seated in the seat facing forward
- Right arm (SKU 2032) — The armrest on your right side when you are seated in the seat facing forward
If you're unsure, look at the mounting bracket on the damaged arm — left and right brackets are mirror images of each other and are not interchangeable.
Features: Height & Tilt Adjustment
Grammer 700 series armrests offer two adjustment axes to fit a wide range of operators:
- Height adjustment — The armrest pad can be raised or lowered to match the operator's elbow height. This is especially important for operators who spend long shifts in the seat, as incorrect armrest height contributes to shoulder and neck fatigue.
- Tilt adjustment — The pad can be angled inward or outward to match the natural resting position of the operator's forearm.
Both adjustments are tool-free on most configurations — a lever or knob releases the position lock.
Grammer 500 Series Armrests (MSG65 & MSG75)
If your seat is a Grammer MSG65/531 or MSG75/531 (the low-profile seats common on skid steers, rollers, and zero-turn mowers), you need the Grammer 500 Series Armrests (SKU: 2020, $169.91), not the 700 series arms. The mounting points and bracket geometry are different between the two series and the parts are not interchangeable.
The 500 series armrests are sold as a pair only.
Installation Overview
Grammer 700 series armrests mount to dedicated bracket points on the seat back frame. Installation is straightforward:
- Remove the old armrest by unbolting the mounting bracket from the seat back frame (typically 2–4 bolts depending on configuration).
- Position the new armrest bracket against the seat back mounting points.
- Thread and torque the mounting bolts to the specification in your seat's service manual (typically 15–20 Nm).
- Adjust height and tilt to the operator's preference and verify the lock engages securely.
Tip: Before ordering, confirm whether your seat currently has armrest mounting points on the seat back frame. Some base configurations of Grammer 700 series seats ship without armrests and without the mounting brackets — in that case, the bracket hardware may need to be sourced separately. Not Sure Which Seat You Have?
If you're not certain whether your seat is a 700 series or 500 series, check the model number label on the seat frame or suspension housing. The model number will tell you exactly which series you have. See our complete seat model identification guide for step-by-step instructions.
