12V vs 24V Air Suspension: How to Check Your Machine

Before ordering any air suspension Sears seat, confirm your machine's cab voltage at the seat location:

1. Check your equipment's operator or service manual for cab electrical specifications.
2. Look for an existing wiring harness near the seat — if the machine previously had an air suspension seat, the harness is likely already routed.
3. Use a multimeter to measure voltage at the seat power connector with the machine running. It should read approximately 12V or 24V DC.
4. If you're unsure, contact your equipment dealer or a qualified technician before ordering.

Do not connect a 24V seat to a 12V system or vice versa. The air compressor is voltage-specific and will not function correctly — or may be damaged — on the wrong voltage.
